Tahnesha Sumer Biography

Tahnesha Sumer a native of Melbourne, born in 1973, with parents of Russian and Hungarian origin. She studied Art and Design at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Drawing on her skills as a natural pattern maker and expressionist to produce art in its purist form. Through thought and emotion, trials and tribulations each piece is a product of working through her life path conveying her present circumstance.

As an abstract lateral thinker, words are limiting and not all things can be communicated through language. Her art is an expression of this and the art work is simply title as a result.

Music is often an influence in the production of Tahnesha's work. Contributing added stimulation for the release of her inner life.

At the same time the artist aims to produce visually appealing art. "Beauty for beauty sake", to enhance the modern home, work place or other location.

Tahnesha has traveled extensively overseas, received a Distinction in Natural Medicine in Tactile Therapies and studied dance since the age of four, and continues to do so.

All her experience, training and inner drive continues to be an influence in her work.
